Once again I had a beginner contact me about their AdSense site
which was not performing well. I took one look at the site and
simply shook my head.
I see beginners to Internet marketing choosing the wrong methods time after time after time.
This woman's site looked pretty good. But I checked her site for
duplicate content and found at least a dozen sites with much of the
same content. If I can find the duplicate content, Google surely can! This kind of Adsense site simply will not work.
This person had simply used a script to "scrape" current content
from popular blogs. Yes, the content was up to date, relevant and
even interesting. But how in world did she expect to drive traffic
to it? It was a pretty cool site, but NO ONE was ever going to see
it!
Without Google and Yahoo's help, the road to traffic (success) is
VERY steep. If you choose to use methods which the search engines
hate, success will be a very long time coming. Google is looking for quality sites!
On the other hand, if you choose to learn proven Internet marketing
methods such as search engine optimization (SEO), linking
strategies, article marketing, etc., you will have success! The
amount of success you have is only limited by how much work you are
willing to put into your sites! (I LOVE that fact about Internet
Marketing!)
