I designed Back Porch Income to provide beginning Internet marketers the foundation of knowledge they need in order to succeed with their own Internet business. It teaches the exact skills and basic knowledge I have used to grow my Retail, AdSense, Affiliate, and Internet marketing information businesses. I started with a retail site and quickly discovered that the exact same skills required to succeed with it could also be used for other Internet opportunities.

Therefore, Back Porch Income focuses on providing beginners with basic skills so they may pursue whichever area they choose. Like I said, those able to succeed with a retail site can easily switch gears a bit and use those same skills to build a successful AdSense or affiliate site.

Not too long ago I too was a complete beginner at all this. I understand the trials and frustrations beginners have. My strategy for helping beginning Internet marketers is not to tell them step by step exactly what and how to make money online. After all, there are as many methods to this as there are Internet marketers! The secret to success is acquiring the basic skills and then combining them with your own set of knowledge and world experiences. (Please read that last sentence again!)

For example, even though I am an experienced Internet marketer, I would not succeed at selling an eBook or promoting a site about small engine repair. However, a person knowledgeable in the area of small engine repair could begin enjoying success with only a basic understanding of Internet marketing principles.

Learn the basics, apply the concepts to your area of interest or expertise, and success can be yours. Will you have a money making business next week or even next month? No you won’t. Internet marketing, just like any new career, has a learning curve for everyone. Nothing about the process is difficult to learn or master; there are simply a LOT of skills which you must master and apply correctly.
