Is There Such a Thing as FREE Money Online?

Posted on November 28th, 2007 in Sensible AdSense by Steve

You all know I hate hype! Too many beginners fall for the sales pages which promise “hundreds of dollars” per day with little work and no experience required. Therefore, I had reservations about just how to promote my newest product, AdSense Connection.

AdSense is the one thing I do which is almost like free money. You see, I treat Adsense as a hobby; I do not feel bad if I don’t work on it for days (even weeks) at a time. Adsense is simply something fun I like to be involved with. In return, it pays my mortgage and house insurance each month with plenty left over.

I wish all of my hobbies paid so well!

I have several AdSense sites which earn me a nice little paycheck from Google each month. I created these sites over the past year or so and didn’t put a lot of work into them…but I did use common SEO techniques to get them ranked well. I don’t pay for any traffic; all the traffic I get is free search engine traffic…mostly from Google.

Like I said, it is as close to free money as I can imagine.

Wow, that may have sounded like hype….I have a hard time describing my success with AdSense!

I have a few videos and audio on the AdSense Connection site you can watch and listen to me describe it all in more detail.

THE Best Way to Make it Online

Posted on November 26th, 2007 in Getting Started by Steve

How many people make money online without a website? Not very many! Yes, there are a few people who spend enough time and money with AdWords to get to the point of making a living with it alone. …very few though! If you are considering this route, you had better have quite a lot of cash to give Google along the way as you learn.

Let’s simply agree a website is the best way to go. It’s low cost and SEO is free. How else could you open and run a store for a few dollars per month of overhead, advertise to the world for free, AND make a living from it?

Yes, my wife and I think a website is the way to go! Actually we have multiple sites, but if you are just starting out, focus on ONE until you get it right.

How to mess up the process:

Ok, so you learn how to build and publish a site. The cash will start flowing in now! Well, not so fast.

I see the same mistakes over and over; a beginner learns how to build a site and the first thing they do is FILL it with affiliate products or AdSense. What a huge mistake! I won’t go into the details right here. Trust me though, that is not what you want to do with the new site.

Build a new site rich with original content using SEO methods. Keep adding to the content for six months and you will have traffic. THEN you can decide how to make money from it. People who try to do this in the reverse order NEVER make a dime to speak of.

AdWords Content Network: Not for New Campaigns

Posted on November 19th, 2007 in AdWords Agony by Steve

When you set up a new campaign in Adwords, the Content Network is checked by default (located in campaign settings). I don’t know how many times I have been contacted by beginners who are having poor results with AdWords (spending far more than they are making) while serving their ads to the Content Network.

Display your ads only to Google’s search. That is all you need to do in order to test your campaign. No matter what, you will be tweaking your campaign’s keywords, bids, ads, etc. (If you are not tweaking and testing, you will surely fail.) You should not include the Content Network in the mix while you are testing. Be sure to uncheck it!

If you do ever enable it, be sure to set the bid price much lower for it when you start testing.

The Biggest Mistake You Can Make

Posted on November 19th, 2007 in Getting Started by Steve

With Internet marketing there are countless mistakes anyone can make. However, there is only one which can absolutely guarantee the end to your Internet marketing career. Take a moment to ponder what it might be.

Any guesses?

The one mistake you can make which will end it all is to allow a failure to derail you totally. Failing is a fact of life online. Failing online is not like failing with a business downtown. The consequences need not be severe at all. Anyone who is successful online has had more ideas fail than succeed.

The one trait that all successful marketers have is that they did not allow a failure to end their career. All of the top guru’s have failures, I have failures, you have had failures, and we will all have more failures. The secret is to learn and go on.

You will fail. That is guaranteed. How many times will you have to fail before something gets traction for you? It’s anyone’s guess. 5 times? 10 times? Who knows? The only sure thing is that if you keep trying and keep applying Relentless Focused Action, you will have success.

Learn the art of failing fast if you expect to succeed with Internet marketing. Learn when to let go of a failing idea and move on. Great ideas will usually slap you right in the face and not be something you have to work yourself to the bone at.

Think about it.

The Blind Leading the Blind

Posted on November 12th, 2007 in Getting Started by Steve

We’ve all seen the sales pages. You know the ones: “START MAKING $1500 per DAY ONLINE – No Experience Required!”

Although someone threw a product and sales page together, the vast majority of promotions are done by affiliates. The product is targeted to the pure beginner who thinks there really is a way to achieve such miraculous results. Of course anyone who understands Internet marketing knows these types of products are total scams.

The ironic aspect of these scams is that the target market is also responsible for the majority of promotions. Beginners gravitate toward these products. Not only do they believe “the dream” the products promise, the beginner thinks they also represent the road they should take on the way to Internet marketing success.

I’ve see it over and over – A beginner joins the affiliate program of one of these scams and then starts spending valuable time and money spreading the scam around. It’s almost funny, if it weren’t so sad, to see pure beginners attempting to tell others how to get rich online.

When do these innocent acts by beginners turn into something more serious? The moment the beginner knows that he or she is promoting a scam…and continues to promote the product is when it turns bad. From that point on, the innocence turns into bad karma… the kind of karma which brings to mind the old saying: “What goes around comes around”

Keep your online efforts focused in a positive direction!

Internet Marketing Karma

Posted on November 4th, 2007 in Live Your Dream! by Steve

It finally happened. I heard the gurus talk about it, so I was expecting it in the back of my mind. I had a person write to me last night and inform me that I and my website were nothing better than pond scum. She didn’t exactly say “pond scum”, but there was no doubt that is what she meant.

She had been scammed by one of the data entry sites. She was mad. She was mad that I too was offering products about Internet marketing for sale. She thought I should not charge people for information like that. Not only that, she went on to rip apart my free videos. In a page long tirade she pointed out every little detail “she” would do different. I should not wear glasses, I should stand when I talk, keep the free Internet marketing videos shorter, and on and on and on….and on she went! Whew! That was not a good thing to read before bedtime!

Considering she new so little about Internet marketing that she got scammed by the most common online scam, I did not give her comments too much thought. However, what I was most aware of was the extreme amount of negative energy I was feeling from her words.

Negative energy is bad…very bad. My Mother always told me if I did not have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all. I have always tried my best to live by that. I didn’t know it when she first started telling me this, but what she really meant was to keep my outgoing energy positive. Thanks Mother for teaching me that!

There is a very simple truth when it comes to Internet marketing (and everything else). If you give out plenty of positive energy, you will receive positive energy back. If you ooze negative energy like the person did with me last night, you will receive negative energy back. Everyone needs constant flow of energy; I guess some people only know how to cultivate the negative kind.

With positive energy coming to you, you will succeed in anything you do! I heard a very successful Internet marketer say once that you are only 1% as successful by yourself than if you seek out partnerships and relationships with other people in your area. Can this be accomplished by giving off negative energy? Of course not.

Remember, what goes around comes around. Allow positive energy to overflow to others around you. You will create nothing but good Karma for yourself and your business! In fact, put some thought into ways you can more often spread positive energy. You will be amazed at the results!

September AdSense Check: $1442.26

Posted on November 3rd, 2007 in Sensible AdSense by Steve

Finally! My newest product is complete!

AdSense Connection

I started experimenting with AdSense over a year ago and has remained on my “hobby” list since. I don’t devote much time to making money with AdSense at all. In fact, if I told how little I worked for that September Google Adsense check, it would sound like hype!

I hate hype. I wrote the sales page trying to keep it from sounding that way. However, when I only spent a few hours on some of my AdSense sites which now earn hundreds of dollars per month, it’s pretty tough to “un-hype” it!

As I said, I only do AdSense as a hobby. I have so many other projects going I simply can’t devote much time to it; I sure do like those Google checks each month however!

I encourage you to take a look at the sales page and see if it might be something you are interested in…oh, and check out my very unique, $500 per month guarantee!
