Mike Filsaime I bought Steve's package and I am impressed on the information provided. Steve, After following a few of your pointers I worked quickly to fix up my sites and turned my $10 a month into $50 in about 2 weeks! I'm now spreading out and making more sites and hope to get to my first goal of $150 per month next month. Thank you so much Steve for giving my at-home business a boost! I would be stuck making under $100 a year if it weren't for you! Nicole Mitani Hi Steve, This product is so beautifully put together any beginner who gets this program will never be the same again. Once again I am grateful that you simply took the time and for the price you charged after taking the time. Hyacinth Allen Thanks Steve for your video series -... The videos you have are really great. Seeing you do the clicks and navigating among applications is so much easier to remember, and if I do forget something, I can just go back and look at it quickly again. www.blueheaventees.com

Hosting Your SiteYou will need a host for your website in order for the world to view it. There are many hosting companies available. For a beginning site Host Gator and GoDaddy are both very popular. Of those two, I am most familiar with GoDaddy. For our retail sites, we use Yahoo Merchant Solutions. You can change hosts at any time for your website without any downtime for your site (if you need help with this part, post a question to my forum and I will help you). I suggest you simply start with a low cost GoDaddy account. Once you grow, you may want to change hosts, but you can cross that bridge when you get to it. As I said, it is a simple matter to switch. GoDaddy offers a $3.99 and a $6.99 per month plan. If you pay by the year, they are even less expensive. The $3.99 plan will work fine for your young site. It has all the bells and whistles you will need. The $6.99 plan is basically the same, but you can use that plan to host an unlimited number of domains. For example, if you have www. Yoursite.com and www.YourSecondSite.com and www.YourThirdSite.com...and so on…you can host them all with that $6.99 plan! To do this you must know basic site design and how to do it which is good for both humans and search engines. [A side note: Do not link those sites together without a very good understanding of SEO. You will hurt all your sites if you simply create them and start linking them together without a good knowledge of how the search engines will respond to that practice.] When you sign up for a GoDaddy hosting account, they will try to sell you a number of add-on features too. You do not need anything from them accept the basic hosting package. Just click “no thank you” and continue to checkout. It is not necessary, but you can also register your domain name with them or transfer it to them for free if you have it with another registrar. It may be somewhat easier on the beginner to have both of these services from one company. When you sign up for hosting, they will email you the hosting account information. The email will include the FTP address, the FTP user name and password, and the control panel access URL. BE SURE TO SAVE THIS MAIL! If you have more questions about this, please post them to www.WeberForum.com |
