My Story...
Several years ago Kay and I were both right in the middle of the proverbial Rat Race. We believed there simply HAD to be a better way to live. Not only were we in non-stop stress mode, we found ourselves living all the time paycheck to paycheck; we decided life was too short and something had to change!
I tried and failed at many businesses in the past. I had "the dream" for a long time but nothing I tried worked. After several failed brick and mortar businesses, I decided I NEVER wanted to put myself at that much risk again; online opportunities became a very attractive option for me.
The monetary risk involved with a conventional business is very high. Failing with a brick and mortar business can lead to years of rebuilding credit and assets. With an Internet business the rewards can be just as great (if not greater) and the risks need only be minimal.
The business we began which really set us on the road to freedom was started with a $9.95 domain name, $3.95/month hosting, and $200 for our first case of products to sell. With only that small investment we were well on the road AWAY from that Rat Race! It was then just a few years later when we said goodbye to our stressful lifestyle!
Since then we have branched out and have several different online businesses in different areas. We are thankful for our original site (CactusCanyon.com) and it still does well for us, but we have discovered even more lucrative areas of online marketing which require less of our day to day attention.
Although my Internet marketing students have a wide range of personalities which adapt better for one area or another of online marketing, the good news is that the basic principles of Internet marketing apply to each and every area. These three basic principles are:
1. The online marketer must add some type of value to the world. This value comes in many forms and may actually surprise you as to how easy it is to offer. It can be as simple as creating pages which rank well and thus allow people to find what they are looking for easier or it can involve offering the best prices and/or service for goods or services.
2. Traffic is key to the entire process. Not just any traffic will do; it must be targeted traffic. Internet marketers must master the skills required to maneuver their sites to the first pages of Google and Yahoo. In most cases mastering Adwords is also a valuable skill for bringing targeted traffic.
3. The third component, which is often overlooked, is the trust factor. Regardless of whether a site uses AdSense, affiliate marketing or retail sales as the source of income, a level of trust must be established between the site and the visitor.
Your future success is not determined by your current level of skill or knowledge. With the tools and material in the membership site, along with my personal help, you can build your own successful Internet business! All you must supply is a willingness to work hard and a strong desire for success!
