I have screen shots below of a sample PayDotcom user account. The same login area is used for both vendors and affiliates. Do not be confused by this. As an affiliate only, you will not use some of the areas. I have included the main screens you will use as an affiliate.

PayDotCom Tutorial for Affiliates

Slide #1 (your main logon page)

Above is your opening logon page. It shows a summary of your sales activity. If you are ONLY going to sell affiliate products, you do not have any need for the “Premier” package (so don’t buy it!). Also, you won’t be using the “active” or “pending” affiliate links (these are just for vendors).

As an affiliate, your sales will only show up under “my affiliate sales profit”. This amount will be the net amount after your share of the selling fee is subtracted. Clicking on the $ provides details of the sale.

"Referrals" come from promoting the PayDotCom system itself. You do not get paid directly for this. For example, if you were a vendor, you would receive partial credits for fees depending upon the activity of those you referred. If you are a new affiliate, don't be concerned with it.

Slide #2 (click on "Sales" and then "Affiliate Product Sales")

This is the details screen from the instructions above for clicking the $ in slide #1. Clicking on any of the links will provide details of the sales made.

Slide #3 (click on "My Sales" and then "Commissions to Pay/Owed")

To see this screen, click “my sales” and then “commissions to pay/owed”. As an affiliate, you won’t owe anyone anything. Therefore, you look at the “commissions earned” part for the totals owed you. The vendors will pay you via your PayPal account within 30 days after the close of the month the sale was made in.

Slide #4 (click on "Promote Products" and then "From Marketplace")

How to sign up for products to promote:

Click on “promote products” and then “from marketplace”. Here you will see a screen with the market place categories. Click on one of the categories.

As an affiliate, you may promote as many as you'd like for free. However, your efforts will be best directed if you stay focused on one or two niches. Be aware that all areas related to the Internet are VERY competitive; it is much easier to succeed with smaller niches.

Slide #5 (This screen shows after selecting a marketplace topic.)

Clicking a category provides a list of products which you can promote. The sales page is the page which your affiliate link will lead to. The APS is a relative number as to how well the product is doing. Click on the APS button for a full explanation. When you click the "promote" button, you will add this to your list of products you are promoting.

Slide #6 (click "Promote Products" and then "As an Affiliate")

After you have joined a program (s) click on “promote products” and then “as an affiliate”. This screen shows you all the products you have signed up to promote. You CANNOT delete these once you create them, all you can do is “hide” them on the list.

Click “create/view campaigns" to go to the next screen.

Slide #7 (This screen results from clicking on the link "create/view campaigns" in the above screen)

When you click "create/view campaigns" in slide 6, you get this screen.

Here you have the campaign stats for the product. If 10 people click on your link one time each, you will have 10 unique and 10 raw clicks. If those 10 people click your link twice each, you will have 10 unique and 20 raw clicks.

The link cloaker offer on this page is only for those who have a website and wish to “clean up” their ugly affiliate links. If you do not have a website, you don’t need that tool. Click on “create new campaign to go to the next page.

Slide #8 (Click on "Create New Campaign" in the above screen to see this page.)

When you click “create new campaign” in slide 7 you see this screen. Name it something like Adwords, email, my site, etc. Name it how you will be using it. You can also add any description you’d like. Only you will see the name and the description.

Slide #9 (You'll see this page after you create a new campaign.)

When you finish slide 8, you’ll see this page of the new campaign you just created. Notice the link at the bottom. THIS is the link you must use for this campaign. The link simply supplies you with a new "campaign" to promote the product with. This way, you can tell exactly where all your sales and clicks are coming from for each product.

Frequent Questions About PayDotCom

When and how do I get paid? You will be paid by each individual vendor via PayPal. They must pay you within 30 days AFTER the close of the month which the sale was made in. If you sell their product on June 1, they do not owe you the commission until July 30.

Why am I getting clicks but no sales? A good conversion rate is between 1% and 3%. If you are not close to this, chances are your methods are simply not targeted enough. See my videos for more details about what works and what doesn't.

Why do I only see “affiliate-NONE” on the buy page if I visit it via my affiliate link? This is normal now. Paydotcom changed this a while back. Affiliates will only see “none” when they click their own links.

Can I buy a product with my own link and get a commission for it? No, this is not allowed

Why am I getting clicks but not making sales? If you have your own website or are good with Adwords, you can only expect about a 1% to 3% conversion rate. (If 100 people click your link, you can expect 1 to 3 sales). HOWEVER, if you are simply using classified sites, email blasts, or some other questionable methods, you might get a 500 clicks without making a sale. You clicks MUST come from targeted traffic. The best targeted traffic comes from YOUR OWN email list (one you built), your own site, and with Adwords.

A WARNING about using Adwords. If you came to PayDotCom from one of those “type at home” or “data entry” sites, be aware those are ALL scams. Get your money back from them! Those scam sites simply use PayDotCom’s good name to promote their scam! You DO NOT need them to use PayDotCom. Again, get a refund from them!

Can I change my user name? No. The only way you can do this is to logon to the PayDotCom help desk and ask that your account be deleted. Then you can create a new one. Or you can create another with a new PayPal email address.

Raw and Unique Clicks: If 10 people click on your link one time each, you will have 10 unique and 10 raw clicks. If those 10 people click your link twice each, you will have 10 unique and 20 raw clicks.
