Traffic is Key
ByRemember, you must never take your eye off of the real challenge: Traffic.
Everything you do must be focused on getting traffic. It does not matter if I create a really cool looking site; it must somehow get traffic for it to be a success.
Always ask yourself how you will get traffic to it. Why would someone want to come to it and spend a little time there.
There must be something of value…something interesting…some reason for traffic to come.
Then you must figure out how you will get traffic. Will you use search engine optimization techniques? ….write a lot of good content which Google and Yahoo will index well for keywords you have chosen for
your niche. This takes a lot of work but is by far the most productive, long-term solution.
Or you may participate in several blogs and forums where you are allowed to place the link in your signature file….this brings me a lot of traffic but is also a lot of ongoing work (unlike the SEO solution
above which keeps producing results long after I do most of the work).
Or you could write many articles about your subject and submit them to a place like ezinearticles.com where you can insert a link to your site at the bottom of the article. I do this too, but it takes a lot of
ongoing work.
It is best to use all methods to drive traffic…..you get some from here and there…and it all adds up.
It all takes a lot of work…lack of traffic is the BIG obstacle to success. Many beginners fail to recognize this and think that simply getting the site up there is the main step. Building the site is easy
compared to getting traffic to it.
Those who understand this and take action to insure traffic will succeed. Others who fail to place traffic as their top priority will fail.
